1O1ARTperience: Exploring Galleries, Weaving Connections

As a tangible manifestation of the collaboration between hospitality and the art world, THE 1O1 Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with the Indonesian Art Gallery Association (AGSI), proudly presents the flagship program 1O1ARTperience ART Trip. This three-day curatorial art journey, taking place from June 20–22, 2025, invites participants to explore Yogyakarta's dynamic contemporary art landscape.

The tour's destinations include renowned galleries and art studios such as Srisasanti Gallery, Sangkringan Art Space, Sarang Gallery, Cemeti, Gajah Gallery, Langgeng Art Foundation, and Jogja Chapter. It also features an exclusive visit to the studio of maestro Agus Suwage. A highlight of the trip is the exclusive attendance at the opening of ARTJOG 2025, themed "Motif: Amalan." Participants will also enjoy a special Jogja-style dinner titled “PIRINGAN” at LOTENG, THE 1O1 Yogyakarta Tugu—a modern reinterpretation of the traditional "piring terbang" (flying plate) custom, symbolizing hospitality and togetherness.

SEE & Sea: Art, Ocean, and Narratives of Sustainability

Continuing under the "1O1ARTperience" theme, THE 1O1 Hotels & Resorts, in collaboration with Artopologi, presents "SEE & Sea – A Talk about Art, Ocean & Sustainability." This interdisciplinary program combines an artist talk, the opening of a recycled art exhibition, a curatorial tour, and an afternoon tea session.

Two collaborative initiatives are the main highlights of this program:

1. Kurma Amerta & Bisikan Terumbu (Coral Whispers)

In partnership with Yayasan Terumbu Rupa and artist Teguh Ostenrik, THE 1O1 Hotels & Resorts is launching the Stay & Donate program. This allows hotel guests to directly participate in marine ecosystem preservation through donations. These contributions fund the "Kurma Amerta" underwater art project—a turtle-shaped installation designed to be a home for coral reefs in Bondalem, Bali.

As part of the program, a short documentary film titled “Bisikan Terumbu” will be screened at ARTJOG on July 4, 2025, at 7:00 PM WIB, inviting the public to delve deeper into the philosophy and impact of this unique work.

2. Kelana Kebun Warna (Wandering Garden of Colors)

Collaborating with Tac Tic Plastic, THE 1O1 Yogyakarta Tugu is hosting a recycled art exhibition titled "Kelana Kebun Warna," running from July 3 to August 20, 2025. This exhibition showcases works created from recycled plastic, transformed into poetic and reflective visual expressions addressing environmental issues.

Visitors can also participate in exclusive studio visits and workshops to explore sustainable art practices as part of the Jogja Art Week series.
