A New Face for Goodness: BMH Unveils New Logo, Pledging to Expand Charity in the Digital Age

BISNISTIME.COM, JAKARTA – Friday August 29, 2025 - An atmosphere of reverence and enthusiasm filled the Hidayatullah Da'wah Building in East Jakarta on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. At 10:00 AM, the National Amil Zakat Institution (Laznas) Baitul Maal Hidayatullah (BMH) officially turned a new page in its journey, hosting a press conference to launch its new corporate logo. The event marked a pivotal strategic transformation for BMH as it adapts to meet the challenges of the modern world.
Under the theme "Strengthening Image, Expanding Charity, Spreading Goodness," the launch was far more than a visual makeover. "This is a reaffirmation of BMH's vision and commitment to serve as a more modern, adaptive, and impactful bridge of goodness," declared Supendi S.Kom, M.M, the President Director of BMH, during his opening remarks. Attended by community leaders, the entire BMH management, representatives from Baitul Wakaf Hidayatullah, and dozens of journalists, the event underscored the institution's serious intent to fortify its identity.
More Than Just a Symbol: The Philosophy of Transformation
KH. Dr. Nashirul Haq Marling M.A, Chairman of the BMH Board of Trustees, explained that the logo change was the culmination of deep contemplation and strategic planning designed for the next five years and beyond, toward 2030. "The world is constantly moving; the digital era has reshaped how we interact, donate, and conduct outreach. Our previous logo served us exceptionally well, but we need a new identity that is more flexible—one that communicates effectively across all platforms, from a banner in a remote village to an app icon on a Gen Z's smartphone," he stated.
The new BMH logo is built on a profound philosophy reflecting the three core pillars of its theme:
- Strengthening Image: Represented by a cleaner, more modern, and professional design that exudes trust (amanah) and credibility. The updated colors and shapes aim to build a robust and easily recognizable public image.
- Expanding Charity: Symbolized through dynamic design elements that imply forward motion and limitless reach. This visualizes BMH's determination to extend its empowerment programs beyond urban centers and into the nation's farthest corners, ensuring the benefits of zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) reach more beneficiaries.
- Spreading Goodness: Reflected in the logo's overall warm, friendly, and inviting feel. "This logo is designed to be a symbol of hope, inviting every individual to become part of a larger movement of kindness," KH. Dr. Nashirul Haq Marling elaborated.
Answering the Call of the Times with Flexibility
Firman ZA SE, M.Ak, Chairman of the BMH Board of Executives, emphasized that "flexibility" was a key principle behind the new identity. The visual identity is engineered to be highly adaptive, ensuring it looks just as compelling on traditional print media as it does on social media feeds, the official website, mobile applications, and digital campaigns.
"This flexibility is our answer to the challenges of today's era," he added. "We want to ensure BMH's message of goodness is delivered with clarity and consistency, regardless of the medium. This is part of our effort to connect with Millennial and Gen Z donors, who are the future of Islamic philanthropy in Indonesia."
The synergy with various partners, including Baitul Wakaf Hidayatullah, was also a focal point. The presence of the waqf institution's representatives highlighted a solid ecosystem of benevolence under the Hidayatullah banner, where zakat and waqf can collaborate to create sustainable, high-impact programs.
A New Hope for Broader Goodness
The launch event concluded with an enthusiastic Q&A session with the media, who inquired about everything from post-transformation fundraising targets to future flagship programs. BMH responded with optimism, stating that the new logo is a driving force for program innovation, enhanced transparency, and strengthened services for both donors and beneficiaries.
With its new face, BMH is not just changing a logo. It is renewing its promise to the Ummah. A promise to be an institution with a stronger image, a broader charitable reach, and an unwavering commitment to spreading goodness for the people and the nation. The step taken in Cipinang today is poised to be the start of a greater wave of kindness, reaching more souls and creating more smiles across Indonesia and the international stage.
