BISNISTIME.COM, GARUT – Friday May 25,2025 -The environmental crisis urgently demands real action. Responding to this challenge, MA Persis Tarogong held the S.T.A.R. (Simple Technology for Action & Resolution) project from April 29th to May 20th, 2025. With the theme "Creating Simple Technology, Taking Real Action to Solve Local Problems," tenth and eleventh-grade Islamic school students (santri) collaborated to create innovative solutions based on simple technology.

Through the P5RA approach, this project fostered the independence, creativity, critical thinking, and innovation of the students. Starting by identifying environmental problems in their surroundings, the students were divided based on their learning styles (visual, kinesthetic, audio-visual) to produce diverse yet integrated works.

The results were remarkable creations! Ranging from automatic plant watering systems and sensor-equipped trash cans to environmentally friendly plastics and waste-powered electricity generators. These works were exhibited and evaluated, not only on the final product but especially on the collaborative process and the students' creative ideas.

The spirit and enthusiasm of the students proved that when given the space to think freely and be creative, they are capable of producing real solutions. The S.T.A.R. project was not just about learning technology and the environment, but also about instilling care and an innovative spirit. Small actions today are a big step towards a better change.
