Heartfelt Joy and Relief: LAZIS Baitul Karim's Free Mass Circumcision Brings Smiles to 51 Children

A atmosphere of both profound emotion and jubilation enveloped the Baitul Karim Mosque in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, today

BISNITIME.COM, JAKARTA, Indonesia – Monday June 23, 2025 A atmosphere of both profound emotion and jubilation enveloped the Baitul Karim Mosque in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, today (22/6). Fifty-one orphaned and underprivileged children, ranging from ages 1 to 12, experienced a sense of relief and happiness after participating in a free mass circumcision program organized by LAZIS Baitul Karim. This event was more than just a medical procedure; it was a tangible manifestation of LAZIS Baitul Karim's commitment to alleviating the burden on the community, especially those facing financial constraints.

Sri Mulyani, Director of LAZIS Baitul Karim June 22, 2025 explained that this activity is an integral part of the organization's mission to assist uncircumcised children in the Tanah Abang area. "We want to ensure every child receives their right to circumcision without being burdened by costs," she stated with enthusiasm, emphasizing the focus on orphans, the underprivileged, and the destitute.

This initiative deeply aligns with Islamic teachings, which advocate for caring for one another, especially those in need. Allah SWT states in the Qur'an: "And do good to parents, relatives, orphans, the poor, the near neighbor, the distant neighbor, the companion by your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are proud and boastful." (QS. An-Nisa: 36). This verse underscores the importance of doing good and helping others, which was clearly reflected in this mass circumcision program.

Innovation in Action: Stitch-Free, Bandage-Free Circumcision for Worry-Free Kids!

A unique aspect of this event was the collaboration between LAZIS Baitul Karim and Rumah Sunat dr. Mahdian. Aseppudin, HRD of Rumah Sunat dr. Mahdian, elaborated on the "Mahdian Clamp" method used. "This method allows for a circumcision process without stitches, without bandages, and children can immediately resume activities. The process is also very fast, only 7 to 10 minutes," he revealed. This innovation significantly reduces the fear and trauma that often haunt children before circumcision, making their experience more positive and pleasant.

Before the circumcision process began, children were treated to various interactive entertainments, from soothing sermons to funny clown performances. This strategy successfully diffused tension and created joy. "We want circumcision to be a fun experience, not a frightening one," added Sri Mulyani, emphasizing their efforts to build a positive psychological state for the participants.

Doubled Happiness and Community Synergy

After the procedure, the children's happiness was further complete with the provision of envelopes and attractive gift packages. Names like M. Azzam, Arsya Sultan, Abdullah, Adam Kareem, Nazriel Al Fathir, Al Gibran, and Muh. Rohid where among those who went home with wide smiles, carrying pocket money and cherished memories thanks to the opportunity to take photos at the available booth.

Full support from various parties also played a key role in the success of this event. Paragon Corp., Mifa Berasaudara, Pertamina Lubricant, Pertamina Internasional Shipping, Yatim Mandiri, Plaza Indonesia, Grand Indonesia, and PT Panen Lestari Tbk. were among the renowned donors and sponsors who demonstrated positive synergy in efforts to improve community quality of life.

The parents of the participants could not hide their gratitude either. "This is very helpful, especially with the school holidays approaching. Our burden as parents has been greatly lightened," said one of Adam Kareem's parents. This appreciation and public enthusiasm serve as a great motivation for the 18 LAZIS Baitul Karim committee members to continue contributing.

Sri Mulyani also affirmed that this mass circumcision activity is part of LAZIS Baitul Karim Tanah Abang Jakarta's sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The event concluded successfully, with all 51 participants completing the circumcision process smoothly. A group photo session with LAZIS Baitul Karim management and the medical team from Rumah Sunat dr. Mahdian solidified their togetherness and commitment to continue spreading good.

This free mass circumcision was not just about health; it was also about fostering a sense of togetherness, social care, and providing new hope for the younger generation. LAZIS Baitul Karim once again proved that with synergy and commitment, a positive impact can be felt by many.
