BISNISTIME.COM, JOGJA - At first, I thought Hotel 101 Style Malioboro was actually located in the Malioboro area. However, that turned out to be not entirely true. Hotel 101 actually has two locations in Yogyakarta, one in the Tugu area and the other on Jalan Gajah Mada. Interestingly, the hotel is closer to the main train stations, such as Tugu or Lempuyangan, making it easily accessible for travelers arriving by train.

I stayed at the Hotel 101 Style near Lempuyangan Station on October 16-17, for a Dragbike Jogja coverage. After a trip from Malang, I arrived at Lempuyangan, and the hotel was just a short ride away—only Rp5,000 using an online ride-hailing service. Its location in Pujowinatan Village felt serene and peaceful, even though it's still within the city center of Yogyakarta.

Although I initially expected the hotel to be right in Malioboro, it turned out to be just about 1 km away, so walking there is still quite feasible. Moreover, there are plenty of eateries and convenience stores around the hotel, which are easy to reach on foot.

Another advantage of Hotel 101 Style Malioboro is its decent facilities. There is a rooftop swimming pool, a restaurant offering both local and international menus, and modern rooms equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and clean bathrooms. What impressed me the most was the view from the 6th floor, where I could see Mount Merapi in the morning, around 5 AM, before it was eventually covered by clouds.

Overall, even though the location is not exactly in Malioboro, Hotel 101 Style offers a comfortable, peaceful, and strategic place to stay, especially for those arriving by train.
