BISNISTIME.COM, GARUT— January 27, 2025, Persis Tarogong Madrasah Aliyah, a prominent Islamic educational institution, has once again showcased its dedication to community service through its comprehensive Social Service Program, known as the Program Latihan Khidmat Jam'iyyah (PLKJ). This program has been implemented across 4 villages in Pamulihan district and 10 villages in Pakenjeng district, Garut Regency.

The initiative is a tangible manifestation of the madrasah's commitment to social welfare and its role in uplifting the surrounding community. The program involved a wide range of activities, including the installation of 116 public streetlights and the distribution of religious resources such as 1,304 Qur'ans, 480 Islamic books, 20 prayer mats, 20 prayer shawls, 20 sarongs, and 280 head coverings for both children and adults. These provisions are aimed at enhancing community activities, particularly religious practices and education.

In collaboration with CV Berkah Karya Bahari, Persis Tarogong Madrasah Aliyah successfully carried out the streetlight installation project. Notably, 27 institutions and companies contributed to the funding of this extensive social service program, including PNM Mentari, Tekun, Klinik Sehat Hampor, Daisy Leahtercraft, Zahra, Tenun Islam, Indonesia Power, Pertamina, Apotek Suci Utama, and many more.

Furthermore, funds for the program were raised through various channels, including contributions from parents, community members, sponsors, donors, and even overseas Muslims, with no strings attached. The fundraising efforts were spearheaded by the madrasah's students themselves, providing them with valuable experience in social responsibility and compassion.

In his remarks, the Secretary of Pamulihan Subdistrict, affectionately known as Pak Trisna, expressed deep gratitude for the madrasah's support. "Alhamdulillah, we are immensely grateful for this assistance. The streetlights and religious aids will significantly benefit our community," he stated with heartfelt appreciation.

Agus Sudrajat, the head of the village association in Pakenjeng district, also shared his enthusiasm. "It's not just the assistance that makes us happy, but the trust that the madrasah has placed in us by sending their students to interact and help in our villages," he said.
