Former Leader Hails HMI Denpasar's Training Raya as Vital for National Future

The significance of this undertaking was underscored by the presence and strong endorsement of Vice Minister of Transmigration, Viva Yoga Mauladi, a distinguished alumnus who once led HMI Denpasar from 1991 to 1992

BISNISTIME.COM, DENPASAR BALI – Thursday May 22, 2025 Denpasar is currently hosting a pivotal event for the Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) as its Denpasar chapter orchestrates a grand Training Raya. This intensive program, encompassing the Latihan Kader (LK) II and Latihan Khusus Kohati (LKK), commenced today and will continue until May 24, 2025, focusing on cultivating future leaders.

The significance of this undertaking was underscored by the presence and strong endorsement of Vice Minister of Transmigration, Viva Yoga Mauladi, a distinguished alumnus who once led HMI Denpasar from 1991 to 1992. He expressed his appreciation for the organization of the LK II and LKK, which have drawn 40 and 17 carefully selected candidates respectively from HMI branches nationwide.

The Training Raya carries the compelling theme: "Revitalizing and Synergizing the Spirit of Cadre Development in Shaping Quality Insan Cita Leaders Towards Golden Indonesia 2045." This theme, according to Viva Yoga, perfectly encapsulates the essential role of HMI in preparing the next generation of national leaders.

Speaking from Jakarta, Viva Yoga passionately stated that "cadre development is the very soul of the HMI organization." He emphasized that without this continuous nurturing of talent, HMI, an organization with deep roots dating back to its founding in Yogyakarta on February 4, 1947, would be unable to renew its leadership and intellectual contributions. "HMI is at the forefront of cadre development," he affirmed.

Beyond its function as a training ground, HMI is also a recognized platform for Islamic students dedicated to serving their nation. Its cadre development programs are deeply rooted in inclusive and progressive Islamic values, while strongly advocating for diversity. "These essential Islamic values are a fundamental cornerstone for community and national life," added the former Presidium of KAHMI.

As an inseparable component of Indonesia, HMI also places significant emphasis on internalizing and implementing national values in all its activities.

Viva Yoga conveyed his earnest hope that the Training Raya in Denpasar, along with similar efforts across other HMI branches, will serve as a crucial source of inspiration, producing committed cadres who will continue to shape HMI's impactful journey in the future.

The opening ceremony of this important event was honored by the attendance of Putri Suastini Koster, the wife of the Governor of Bali. The vibrant atmosphere was further enhanced by a captivating Balinese dance performance and the presence of HMI Denpasar alumni and numerous guests from various societal backgrounds.
