BISNISTIME.COM, TANGERANG SELATAN – Monday, October 14, 2024 In a committed effort to support the development of young sports talents, particularly in basketball, Genesis Global Community School (GGCS), located in BSD, South Tangerang, proudly launched its Basketball Scholarship Program. This program aims to provide opportunities for talented students to hone their skills while receiving a high-quality education based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
At the launch event held at MS Arena BSD, 36 participants from various schools and clubs competed, showcasing their skills in hopes of being selected to join the school’s inaugural varsity basketball team. “We have participants from outside the region, such as Surabaya and Kalimantan, and their skills are exceptionally impressive,” said Leody Sarmanella, Head of School Consultant at Genesis Global Community School.
Leody emphasized that becoming part of this basketball team is no easy feat. The selection process involves multiple tests, starting with basic skill assessments and advancing to more complex challenges. Players are evaluated not only on their technical abilities but also on their sports IQ, emotional intelligence (EQ), and mental toughness, through psychological evaluations to ensure they are strong both mentally and physically.
