BISNISTIME.COM, JAKARTA – Wednesday, October 2, 2024 – Coffee is one of the most beloved beverages in Indonesia and around the world. In honor of its popularity, there is an International Coffee Day celebrated annually on October 1.
To join in the global celebration, Hotel Aston Priority Simatupang held an event titled “Coffee Culture Experience” over two days, Tuesday and Wednesday, October 1-2, 2024, at the Canary restaurant during lunch from 12:00 to 14:00. More than 400 guests attended the event over the two days.
Emphasizing an interactive educational concept, Hotel Aston Priority Simatupang partnered with PT. Architama Catu Nusa to provide insights into the full coffee journey, from tree to cup. Guests learned about the entire process from coffee cherries on the tree to ground coffee ready for brewing. There were also explanations of the differences between Arabica and Robusta coffee, with attendees getting the chance to brew their own coffee.
Additionally, the event featured workshops on making coffee-based mocktails. In collaboration with PT. Classic Fine Foods, attendees were introduced to mocktail creation, from ingredient selection, mixing, and presentation, to tips on flavor combinations. One of the highlights was the coffee mocktail session, giving participants a unique twist on coffee consumption.
On October 2, 2024, the event took on a special theme titled “Secangkir Batik” (A Cup of Batik) to celebrate National Batik Day. This unique session featured latte art, where traditional batik patterns were intricately drawn on top of coffee.
“In celebration of International Coffee Day and National Batik Day, Aston Priority Simatupang is offering an educational coffee experience, aiming to enrich our guests’ knowledge of coffee. We also want to show that coffee can be transformed into various forms of art, such as batik-themed latte art. Additionally, guests checking in on October 1 and 2, 2024, can enjoy a special coffee-themed welcome drink called Kisah Kopi, served at 12:00,” shared Andi Gevika Rizki, General Manager of ASTON Priority Simatupang.
